Keats Scott, Fiber Artist
In 1978 I fulfilled a dream to live in Colorado. I moved from Chicago to Heeney on the Green Mountain Reservoir. This world is my inspiration. I’m in awe of the area around me, water, mountains and the sky overhead. I capture light, color and form, depicting it with fabric as my palette. Fiber and stitch give a visual texture. The goal is to have a piece that is a pleasure to look at from a distance, but draws you in to look closer.
I enjoy using fabric that I have dyed and painted, though commercial fabric is used also. For this web site I’ve divided my work into three categories, Whimsical Villages, Landscape and Not Traditional.
